Deanne Lenehan-Owner and Artist
Deanne Lenehan is the founder and creative director of Lenehan Studios, an award-winning decorative arts firm serving the Baltimore–Washington region for more than two decades. A former high school art educator, she is known for combining artistic excellence with exceptional organization and collaboration.
Lenehan earned a Bachelor of Science in Art Education from Towson University and pursued advanced studies at Pratt Institute, the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA), McDaniel College, and internationally in France, Morocco, and Italy. She is the first decorative artist to have a course accredited by the Interior Design Continuing Education Council (IDCEC).
Her work has been featured in Architectural Digest, Elle Decor, Southern Living, Baltimore Magazine, Home & Design, and Howard Magazine. Notable projects include leading a team of 30 artists on Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, collaborating with the Baltimore Ravens Foundation, and being named Baltimore Magazine's "Baltimore's Best" Decorative Artist.
A past president of the local chapter of the International Decorative Artisans League (IDAL) and founder of the Ellicott City Arts Coalition, Lenehan is also a member of the Association of Consultants for Liturgical Space and Salon, an international fraternity of decorative artisans.
Lenehan Studios specializes in custom murals, decorative finishes, fine art, and architectural surface treatments for residential, commercial, and ecclesiastical spaces. Based in the Mid-Atlantic, the studio partners with designers, architects, and clients on projects throughout the United States and abroad.

Abbie is the Lead Artist at Lenehan Studios, where she specializes in murals, decorative painting, faux finishes, and custom artistic installations. An interdisciplinary artist based in Baltimore, she brings a diverse skill set that spans realistic oil painting, large-scale installations, sculpture, fiber arts, and ceramics. Her broad artistic background allows her to adapt seamlessly to projects ranging from intricate architectural details to expansive mural commissions.
Inspired by the transformative qualities of light, Abigail approaches each project with a keen understanding of color, atmosphere, and composition. Her work explores how light shapes our experience of space, creating environments that evoke emotion and foster meaningful connections. Whether collaborating on residential, commercial, or ecclesiastical projects, she is committed to craftsmanship, creativity, and bringing each client's vision to life.
